The departure tax for international flights was changed from 500 baht to 700 baht on 1 Feb 2007 and is now included in the price of all airline tickets. It doesn’t matter what your nationality is. I have no idea about Hong Kong.

The departure tax is paid at the airport you are leaving from.. your nationality does not matter – HK was always expensive for departure tax – but you should ask in the HK forum.. The last few times I have flown out of Thailand it was included in my tkt – - good luck

don’t know since it became part of your ticket price and not paid at the departure gate ticket machine….it was 500bht until fairly recently but now.that tourist numbers have dropped the law of diminishing returns probably applies to thai greed ..so.anybodys guess

The airport tax from any Thai international airport is 700 Baht now.

700 baht, sometimes it is part of your airline ticket

In Thailand and Hong Kong the departure tax is included in the price of your ticket and there’s no need to pay anything extra at the aiport.
