Thailand has been recently influenced by other countries advanced press and media networks. In the recent years, Thailand’s news industry has grown considerably. They have begun to create a large network press and media that can only be described as a very intricate media system.
Thailand’s news industry has been greatly influenced by countries such as the United States and China. Thailand has multiple magazines printed in English, Thai, and Chinese. Some of these magazines even use the original English title (but content is written in Thai) to attract attention to the magazine.
Thailand also has the largest newspaper network in South East Asia. Thailand currently estimates around 13 million copies sold a day. Thailand has grown greatly in their news industry, and they have also become world renown for their large newspaper network.
What has recently happened in Thailand news?
Thailand’s news is just as exciting and amazing as any English news network. On Dec 12, 2007, 16 people were injured while transporting troops to help Thailand’s southern provinces. The southern provinces are plagued with insurgents. Six dead and twenty injured after a bombing in South Thailand, in the province of Pattani. These bombs are accredited to Muslims, who want to make Thailand a Muslim-based country. In other news, a 60-year-old Dutch man was arrested on Dec.4 for suspicion of molesting at least three young boys at a Thailand resort town. This man could face up to twenty years in prison. Apartments in Thailand are being bought like crazy. The country is at an all time high for people trying to buy apartments in Thailand. Many new apartments are being built trying to support this recent interest. In other Thailand news, Thailand has had a long history of buying votes. Well, this year a 90-year-old healer led a large group of officials and policeman in a "black magic" ritual, and they had to promise they would not buy or be bought by votes. An estimated 20 million bhat will probably be spent on buying votes this election year in Thailand. In other Thailand news, a chemical plant caught fire with the workers still locked inside. It is not known the amount of injuries or deaths, but witnesses reported seeing at least 4 buildings burn down to the ground. The chemical fire also sparked numerous other explosions. Good news for Thailand, their economy is expected to grow 5% in the next year. This is largely due to exports and other high-dollar trades.
