Where are the best places to visit in Thailand?

I’m planning a trip to Thailand with my girlfriend in October/November and am wondering what some must see places/towns are?

If you love beaches, you should go to Phi-Phi Island in Krabi province (Southern of Thailand) There are so many beautiful beaches and places to visit. Phuket is a bit crowded and more expensive, but this place is another must see, too.

Oh.. there will be Loy Kratong Festival in Chiang Mai (North of Thailand) in November. It is very fun and impresive festival to join.

Chiang Mai is one of the best place that I recommend. I love it overthere, because this city has so many temples and arts to see. People are extreamly friendly.

BTW I’m Thai from Thailand, but I’m now living in the US ;) Please feel free to ask me about Thailand.

Anywhere with Pad-Thai. Pad-Thai is this really good sort of Asian dumpling/burrito. You can customize it with beef, pork, nuts, vegetables, spices, and sauces. I promise you’ll love it. If you don’t, slap me.

    Hi,

If you love beaches you should go to koh chang(chang means elephant in thai words) or go to koh khood at south of thailand it is a really nice view there, you’d loved it for sure.

For someplace that you should visit is khaw sarn road (it’s in bangkok) a lot of american citizen there and I think you will have a lot of fun with them but becareful about traffic cuz traffic is very jam someday (I hated traffic Jam, Man!!). I think main thing you have to see is Thai culture and beaches but if you like for sightseeing you should go to some kinda big hill like Chiang Mai city (at north of thailand) the hill called Phu Gra Doung. At here you will see a very big Cloud Sea and very nice view, Trust me yull luv it!!. I’ll get some link for you. Hope you like thailand cuz I miss my home too.

1st link is the Similan Island
2nd link is koh kham Island
    3rd link is Kinabalu Mountain

Hope that these can help you some way. :)

The whole country is one damn beautiful place. Even Bangkok is not that bad at all, it’s full of stunning sightseeings.
You can hire a car and travel around the country – see Chiang Mai, Ayuthaya, Sukhothai, go down south to the beach(plenty of them). If you want to avoid sleeziness and spend a quite holiday go to Hua Hin – it’s a nice beach area, not far from Bangkok and the prices are cheaper than, say,in Pattaya or Samui.

Bangkok is fun for a few days. I recommend the Silom area to stay in, lots to do and easy to get around using the BTS sky train. Phuket is a good place to go for beaches, diving, and an easy day trip to Phi Phi Island. If you go to Phuket, Patong Beach is the place to stay. I have stayed at the Patong Bayshore Hotel. Great hotel. I found that http://www.hotels2thailand.com is one of the best sites to book hotels in Thailand. Sawadee krup.

    In Oct-Nov if you like

North: good cool weather and green of the forest I recomend you go to Cheang-Rai because have many romantic place for you and your girlfriend

South: warm-hot weather and blue of sea and sky I recomend you go to Krabi or Pang-Nga because appropriate place for relax and romantic

Not recomend in Middle like Bangkok if you want to relax go to North or South but if you want to see famous place and ancient Thailand I recomend you visit Bangkok and Ayudthaya for 1 week because you will learn the knowledge of Thai and some place romantic to memory in wedding life!
