The main difference is that Muay Thai, sparring wise, is pretty much a stand-up fight and allows punches, knees, kicks, and elbows which is pretty cool. Kyokushin Karate is more karate based so there is no punching to the face, like taekwondo, and focuses on other things.
in a street fight, i would say May Thai would win because it utilizes the deadliest parts of the body, elbows and knees.

I do kyokushin and I say it is amazing but we teach face punches which is rare to find in a kyokushin school. Learn both they just compliment each other so well and cross train in boxing too.
